I worked here during the start-up in Human Resources from 1977-1982. The production plan was for 10 million tons of coal a year, but now production is at 100 million tons per year.

This was our home where we held our LDS/Mormon church services in the basement. Between our trailer and the house, we held services in our homes for a couple of years. Then after moving to the community room at the local mall, ground was purchased for a meetinghouse.

In 1977, we were a Group of just a few members, where I was the Group Leader. Then we grew to a Branch, where we continued to serve in other positions and donated our home for meeting space. Just before we moved to Utah in 1982, the ground was broken for a new building and they became a ward. They currently have about 200 members.
